Bass rely on vibration and silhouette in low-visibility water. Their lateral line takes over where their eyes fail. In stained or muddy conditions, a lure that moves water aggressively and throws a dark outline against the murk will outperform anything subtle or finesse-oriented.
Fix: Use high-vibration lures and slow your retrieve. Give the fish time to locate and commit. Fast retrieves in muddy water produce follows, not strikes.
